Dad to the Bone Skull Plate

Show your dad that he’s bad to the bone with a wickedly cool skull plate that’s perfect for using at the grill or at the table! 

Directions:

    Wipe plate with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

    Use a pencil to lightly sketch “DAD TO THE BONE” in block letters along the top of plate rim. Create flames on the lower half as shown.

    Brush 3 coats of Sunflower Yellow onto the lower half of letters and 3 coats of Paprika Red onto the upper half of letters, blending into the Sunflower Yellow.

    Brush 3 coats of Sunflower Yellow onto the flames and 3 coats of Paprika Red onto centers of flames as shown. Let dry.

    Use the pencil to lightly sketch a bandana and sunglasses onto skull. Add in a jaw under teeth to create a smile.

    Brush 3 coats of Paprika Red onto the bandana. If desired, make dots on bandana using paintbrush handle dipped in Sunflower Yellow. Brush 3 coats of Black onto sunglasses and nostrils. Outline teeth and create a smile line, and fill in inside of lower jaw with Black.

    Brush 3 coats of Light Gray onto background of plate. Let dry.

    Brush 3 coats of Black onto plate rim, painting around letters and flames, and brush 3 coats onto backside of plate. Let dry completely.

    Brush 2 coats of Pure Brilliance onto skull parts, and one light coat onto remainder of plate. Let dry completely.

    Stilt and fire to cone 06.
