Here’s a great wedding or show gift idea that the lucky couple will sure to treasure for many years to come. Give them a twist of formality by adding some red to the black and white theme. But to avoid any bickering over whose is whose give them their own ID with the married couple’s new titles of Mr. and Mrs.

For best results, please read all instructions before beginning project. Refer to photo for color and design placement.

Wipe mugs with damp sponge to remove bisque dust. 

Freehand “MR.” and “MRS.” on sheet of tracing paper. 

Position tracing paper on upper part of mug where desired and transfer to mugs.

MR. MUG: Use Liner brush to paint around “MR.” with Black and paint remainder of cup including handle and base, except leaving inside of heart and flat area at bottom. Leave inside of mug white. Let dry.

Repeat painting with two more coats of Black. Let dry.

Paint three coats Neon Red to inside of heart and flat area below heart. Let dry between coats.

MRS. MUG: Use Liner brush to paint “MRS.” in black. Let dry and repeat with two more coats. Let dry.

Paint three coats Neon Red to inside of heart and flat area below heart. Let dry between coats.

Stilt “MR.” mug and dry foot “MRS.” (place directly on kiln shelf) and fire to cone 06.

Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to inside “MR.” mug and inside of letters. Let dry.

Brush two coats of same to entire “MRS.” mug. Let dry.

Stilt both mugs on kiln shelf and re-fire to cone 06.
